The NAFC assists individuals in navigating health insurance options, including Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). These programs offer free or low-cost coverage to eligible low-income individuals and families. The NAFC provides resources to help determine eligibility and guide individuals through the application process. For children and teens, the “Connecting Kids to Coverage” campaign aims to enroll eligible youth in Medicaid and CHIP, ensuring they receive necessary health services year-round.

Connecting Kids to Coverage
Connecting Kids to Coverage is a national campaign of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to reach and enroll eligible kids and teens in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Millions of children are eligible for free or low-cost health insurance under these programs, but are not enrolled. And, in some states, more parents may be eligible too. Help spread the word that enrollment in these programs is open year-round.
