Every day in America, there are approximately 1,200 Free and Charitable Clinics providing quality health care to the Nation’s medically underserved. These clinics rely on the generosity of volunteers and donors to help provide the medical services that so many in our country need.
Our member clinics stand in the health care gap that exists for those who are uninsured or underinsured, they help relieve emergency room overcrowding, and they provide an opportunity for members of the community to either give back or get healthy. Our clinics believe in giving people a hand up, not a hand out, and we activate at the grassroots level, not at the government level.
Clinics across the country are looking for medical volunteers, non-medical volunteers and donors who are willing to help them continue their important work of responding to the health care needs of their community.
Volunteering and donating to a clinic in your area is simple: you can locate the phone number, physical and web address of a clinic near you by visiting our Find a Clinic webpage:
Free and Charitable Clinics will remain an important part of the country’s safety net, even after the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. It is through these clinics and the services that they offer that health care becomes attainable for so many. Please consider volunteering or donating to your local Free or Charitable Clinic today!
Please help us build a healthy America, one patient at a time.
