The NAFC Board of Directors and staff are happy to announce that on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, we will be holding another one-day free health clinic for the medically underserved.
We are inviting you to volunteer or donate to help us provide much needed health care to those in New Orleans who have limited or no access to essential medical services. Without your dedication and support, this clinic will not be possible. We urge you to get involved today!
This is the fourth C.A.R.E. (Communities Are Responding Everyday) clinic to be held in the city of New Orleans; through our 2009-2011 clinics, over 3,100 uninsured people received free medical care and were connected to important local area resources.
C.A.R.E. Clinics are designed to turn convention centers or arena floors into the world’s largest doctor’s office for a day. A minimum of 1,000 volunteers, both medical and non-medical, are needed for this event.
C.A.R.E. Clinics are made possible through the generous donations of people like you who want to help provide access to health care to those who are in need and not one tax dollar is used to support our clinics.
We are so happy to return to New Orleans this year to again provide much needed care to the area's underserved and to highlight the important work of the safety net clinics that are found throughout the country, including in Louisiana.
Please join us as we work to Build a Healthy America, One Patient at a Time!
