The Ohio Association of Free Clinics’ Executive Director, Deb Miller, had envisioned a storytelling project that would highlight the life-changing work free clinics across the state of Ohio were doing in their communities. Through the utilization of AmeriCorps VISTA program, the OAFC brought in a volunteer, Emily Odle, to focus on the implementation of the storytelling project. Emily cultivated connections and relationships across the state by travelling to clinics and interviewing patients, volunteers, staff and community members. Through the curation of these stories, she published the OAFC’s Clinic Voices blog. In this webinar she will discuss quantitate and qualitative data collected, common characteristics of patients, and shine a light on Ohio’s safety net system.
