In this time of uncertainty, there's a fundamental truth that gives us hope - that together we can do extraordinary things. Over the past few weeks and months, the entire world has been coming together to stand up, help out, give back, and heal. Generosity has been helping the entire world get through this global pandemic. Together.
On May 5, 2020, the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC) is participating in #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of unity and giving.
Across the United States, Free and Charitable Clinics and Pharmacies are on the frontlines helping their communities respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. They are adapting their normal business to ensure that their patients and communities are cared for and not left behind.
During this difficult time, the NAFC is providing support through funding, access to donated products including PPEs and medications, access to discounted services like telehealth and telemedicine programs and more.
By joining the #GivingTuesdayNow movement, you’re proving that in times of uncertainty, generosity can bring the whole world together.
Here is how you can participate:
1. GIVE. On May 5, go to https://nafcclinics.networkforgood.com/projects/99378-covid19-nafc-donations-2020 and donate.
- You can also support your local Free/Charitable Clinic by donating or seeing if they need items such as masks, food, cleaning supplies, etc. Find your local clinic by visiting https://www.nafcclinics.org/find-clinic.
3. SPREAD THE WORD. Encourage your friends and family to join you in creating real impact on May 5 by sharing what our mission means to you and why you support the NAFC (here are some ideas). Make sure to use hashtags #GivingTuesdayNow and #Give4Health.
Free and Charitable Clinics and Charitable Pharmacies are on the frontlines of community health care!
Our members have submitted over $16 million and counting in requests to the NAFC to support their coronavirus response efforts, including providing patients with needed medications and food, developing telehealth programs to keep connected while social distancing, doing COVID-19 screening and testing, keeping patients healthy and out of the emergency departments...
Please help the NAFC ensure that our underserved neighbors are not forgotten during this difficult time and that our clinics get the help they need. Supporting Free and Charitable Clinics and Pharmacies means saving lives - this important work could not happen without you!
This #GivingTuesdayNow - let's rally together to build stronger communities!
