Connecting Kids to Coverage: Help Kids and Teens Gear Up for a Successful School Year

As kid and teens across the country prepare to go back to school, help set them up for success. Whether you’re a parent looking for information about health insurance, or a clinic looking for outreach materials to share with families, the Connecting Kids to Coverage National Campaign is here to help.

Year-Round Enrollment in Medicaid and CHIP

This year, get kids ready for whatever the school year might bring with free or low-cost health insurance through Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Millions of children are eligible but not enrolled. Through these programs, children have access to doctor and dental visits, immunizations, vision care, prescription drugs, and more.

In most states, kids and teens in a family of four making up to $48,500 a year – or more – may qualify. Families can apply for their children year-round and in some states, more parents than ever before may qualify for Medicaid too. To find more information about programs in your
state, go to https://www.healthcare.gov/ or call 1-877-KIDS-NOW.
