We are excited and looking forward to bringing this year’s NAFC Annual Summit to San Antonio from October 22-24, 2012. The conference will be held at the San Antonio Rivercenter Hotel, directly on the beautiful Riverwalk that has incredible restaurants and shops all within a short walking distance. This will be a perfect place for attendees to not only learn and network at the Summit, but to be able to relax and enjoy a great city.
Our Annual Summit is the only national venue that brings together medical directors, clinical and pharmacy personnel, management level staff and volunteers from America’s 1,200+ Free and Charitable Clinics. Approximately 450-500 attendees are anticipated to participate in this important event.
The NAFC is excited to announce that Fred Barns from The Weekly Standard and Eleanor Clift from Newsweek will kick off the Summit discussing the 2012 Presidential Election, health care reform and implications on the safety net health care system. LeAnn Thieman a nationally acclaimed professional speaker, co-author of numerous Chicken Soup for the Soul Books, and nurse who was “accidentally” caught up in the Vietnam Orphan Airlift in 1975, will close the Summit with an amazing motivational session that will send attendees back to their clinics energized and encouraged.
Conference attendees will have the opportunity to attend educational and thought-provoking sessions, which include (but are not limited to): fundraising, electronic medical records, health disparities, social media, strategic planning, community partnerships, board relationships and health care reform.
