Join us this October for the NAFC 2021 Charitable Healthcare Symposium - a virtual on-line conference event.
20 years ago, a group of dedicated Free Clinic Supporters and Executive Directors joined together to form an Association that would work on behalf of the free health clinics who were serving the working poor and uninsured of America.
It started as the National Association of Free Clinics, run by a volunteer Board of Directors. In 2007 it hired its first full time staff person, our current President and CEO Nicole Lamoureux. In 2011, its name changed to the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics. In 2021, 20 years after the inception of this organization, the NAFC's growth has been exponential thanks to its partners, donors, staff, Board of Directors and most importantly, because of the important work that its members throughout the country do to provide their neighbors with access to affordable healthcare.
This year as we celebrate how far we have come and all that we have accomplished, we also look toward the future and where we can go, how we can continue to help underserved people in communities throughout the country and how we can do so in the most compassionate, equitable and accessible way.
We hope that you will join the NAFC at this year's virtual conference, Wednesday October 27th and Thursday, October 28th, as we join together to celebrate, to share ideas and knowledge, and to learn and be inspired to continue the important work of the charitable safety net.
